How do I share a web page with AskAverence?
- In Safari, or any app with a Share button, open the page.
- Tap Share, then AskAverence. If you don't see it, scroll the app row and tap More to add it.
- Add a question if you have one, like "is this worth it for a family of four?", and send.
AskAverence reads the whole page and starts a topic with what matters: prices, dates, the fine print and what to do next. Photos and PDFs work the same way.
How do I forward email, or my whole inbox?
Your account has its own address, shown in the app on the You screen. It looks like yourname@askaverence.ai.
- One email: forward it to that address. It becomes a topic with the dates, amounts and things to do picked out.
- Your whole inbox: in Gmail on the web, open Settings › Forwarding and POP/IMAP › Add a forwarding address, enter your AskAverence address and follow Gmail's confirmation steps.
Bills, bookings and invites then turn into reminders and next steps, and nothing is sent or booked without your OK.
Will it book, buy or send anything without asking me?
No. Bookings, purchases and messages to anyone other than you always wait for your tap. Every action it takes is recorded in the topic, so you can see what was done and when.
Why does it ask for my location?
Only to answer "near me" questions against where you are, and only while you use the app. You can say no and name a place instead. To change it later, open iOS Settings › AskAverence › Location.
When something goes wrong
An answer was wrong or a page didn't load
Open the topic, tap the ••• menu, then Send to AskAverence. Pick a reason and add a note if you like. That one topic becomes visible to our team so we can see what happened. You can take it back at any time.
I can't sign in
AskAverence signs in with Google. Check you're using the same Google account you were invited with, and that you have a connection. If it still fails, email us with the time it happened and what you saw on screen.
A forwarded email didn't show up
Check it went to your AskAverence address exactly as shown on the You screen. If you set up Gmail forwarding, make sure Gmail's confirmation step was completed. Still missing? Email us the time you sent it; we can check delivery without reading the message.
Your account and data
Who can read my topics?
Nobody at Averence, by default. Topics, photos and forwarded email are encrypted where they're stored. We see a topic only if you send it to us, or if you turn on Share all my chats on the You screen, which is off unless you choose it. The privacy policy has the details.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open You, then Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your AskAverence address, your topics, chats, forwarded email and saved research. It can't be undone. If you'd rather we did it, email support@averence.ai from your account's email address.
